Frans - Starting school at 14 year old

When Frans arrived at the orphanage in Batam, he was over-aged in registering for a primary school. When we realised his predicament from the houseparent of the orphanage, we decided to sponsor him for a scheme known as PKBM (Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat) for an express course to prepare him to take the national primary school examinations.

We continued to check Frans' progress throughout the whole year and his hardwork did not disappoint us. We are extremely pleased to know that he has passed his national exams in June 2022 with an average score 73.11%. We will continue to support him in his new secondary school in the new semester in Jul.
